Yup you are safe with the Moby! Phew! If you want to look at back wrapping and wearing a baby older than say 9 months (vague estimate on age here BTW) you are best to go with a woven wrap. For slings (as in pouch style slings) NEVER stretchy unless…

No one recommended you a carrier? Crazy! Maybe I am just a crazy AP, hairylegged hippy hehe! If you have access to a sewing machine, I am happy to tell you how to whip up a sling or a wrap and recommend suitable materials ;) It's very tough with a…

We've been to a couple of small poppies sessions and really enjoyed them! The teachers had infinite patience...something I run short on some days!!

Hi Sonia, Hope this makes sense, as it's written with a headcold (mine) and two children (3yrs and 7months) doing vastly different noisy things I need to keep an ear on! Callum's part of the Small Poppies group, and we think it's great. I feel it…

Hi Sonia! Well done for getting out there! I don't have any experience with Small Poppies as I now live in Aus and only really found out about it a little bit before we left NZ. I do know people who had their kids involved in it and they spoke very…

I will be definitely homeschooling next year because I am struggling to get what we need from our school. Bearing in mind that she is younger than yours, she is only 6. It is an issue I would have with any school to be honest, so my daughter is best…

If you are based in Auckland, there is a lactation consultant/paed who does the snip for babies that have bad tongue tie. Apparently if you get is sorted early enough it is completely painless as there are no nerves there. Let me know if you need mo…

About Me!

Hi Visitors to my little wee page :)
I am Sarah, I have two darling (sometimes!) kidlets - a Daughter 4 years and a Son 16 months. I am at home with them and I have a business called Unido. Unido designer baby slings was created out of my love for gorgeous prints/designs, common-sense parenting tools and cuddles!

www.unido.co.nz

and I also have a facebook group where I showcase slings that I have custom made and show-off some great testimonials. http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8649177493
Feel free to join and invite your friends, we have some great deals for members only and the more the merrier!

I help out at the slingbabies workshops every month (check out www.slingbabies.co.nz), giving 1-on-1 help with wearing all types of pouch-style slings. I also attend the West Auckland La Leche League groups as I am passionate about breastfeeding and all aspects of 'intuition-based' parenting.

I will no doubt be adding more to this every time I get a kid-free moment to collect my thoughts so, watch this space!

Thank you for the referral to friends Sarah. I really appreciate it. Also cheers for becoming a fan of NewBawn. It is a work in progress, just have to grow my following, publish my book & develop my range of baby travel packs. I'll get there lol. Any chance you will move back to NZ? xx

Hey Sarah, what a shame I won't see you in Aucks at the next Slingbabies meeting. Bummed ;-(. However, good news on the horizon, if you didn't know already. Check out MoT community blogs. There is a fantastic shout out to Unido Slings xxx

Hi Sarah
Thanks for posting on my blog! Your slings are very cool..wish I had known about them when my now little one (3yrs old) was being lugged about in a very uncomfortable and not nearly as styley sling!!. Please feel free to make my blog and information about the upcoming swine flu vaccine as 'out there' as possible. A producer from 60mins has been in contact with me and I am really hopeful that they will do a story so that as many NewZealanders as possible are aware of key information. Thank you for being an intelligent and pro active womum (this is my new word for women who are mums!). Lets stay in touch. Lots of love

Hi Sarah

Your Antonia is just gorgeous. I have a great pic of her in one of the bonnets.Typical me didnt even know about the TDO. Do you have the contact details of the organisers? It would be great to have a stall there too. Have been busy with house sale - settling this Friday and also with looking for new place. Also added some adult skirts to mimosa range. I found the lack of sales at mission bay market a bit depressing but comforted by the thought that others thought so too.....best I get ella out of the bath. See you.
