Same issue here to a certain extent... 2.5 yr old copies what his baby brother (almost 9 months) is doing to get attention. When I sit Ash on the floor I'll usually give him some toys to occupy him, Leo sits down next to him and insists I do the sam…
I have 3.5 year old and 3.5 month old. Luckily my 3 month old feeds really quickly and I haven't had too many problems with sibling rivalry yet.
At the moment I feed the 3 month old in her own room as shes at a really curious stage where any distrac…
My almost 4 year old seems to have quite major jealously issues with her 9 month old sister. The 3yr old talks like a baby a lot of the time at home and now she has started dressing in a fleece sleepsuit during the day which looks like a stretch'n'…
What great advice from everyone! I was going to stop BF at a year... then it at 18 months... now Little Miss is 20 months old(!) and we're still going on 3 or so feeds a day. I've been really enjoying the cuddly time that BF allows for in a busy tod…
I used to take my daughter for walks to extend her daytime sleeps (if she slept less than 50 minutes). This was recommended by Plunket and worked for us. Usually she would go back to sleep in the pram. I made a point not to feed her any more often t…
I understand completely, I had the same one year cut off, although he was 14months by the time really felt happy to do it. I loved breastfeeding my darling boy and was sad to stop but I wanted my body back for a while before next bub was conceived.…
My 3 and a half year old son does this (pulls on his hair in the same spot) and I am becoming concerned as a thin spot is emerging there. Am also concerned in case it is from anxiety, etc. of which he shouldn't have any but you never know what they…

I'm heading up to Auckland for a holiday in the first week of the school holidays. I'm taking my 9 month old and am going to be staying with a friend and her 5 month old. Any favourite things to do?

All I would say is don't get too hung about stopping on a certain day or month. You'll find as she approaches 1, she'll not need to be BF as…
Hey Cassie - No, i didnt find a magic answer, but I did find awesome dutch box play pens = if I were to have my time again I would invest in one. They come up on Trade Me Once in a blue moon.
hey I don't know if this helps your plight in looking for a heater but you can look on trade me - I have a site you can look at this is one that is available in your area - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Heating-cooling/Heaters/Fan/auction-218651571.htm
there is also the option of oil fin heaters they hold the heat at the temp you want for ages - or if you have gas from the road you could always look at getting one of those as well
hi cheers for getting back, I don't drive eithier (bummer) however i recently discovered the westfield shopping mall !!! lovin it, if you feel like you want to grab a coffee or a little shopping let me know and i could head out that way or maybe after xmas when the sales are on....
Hey there - yes I'd be more than happy to sell you the Symphony In Motion. We bought it for $70 from Trademe, but after having just looked on to see what they're going for, $50 seems to be the price for used ones. So I'd be happy to sell it to you for that. I'll find out what postage costs tomorrow if you're interested.
Hi Cassie, Cheaper Fish OIl Products are always a concern because the whole fish is pressed including the guts, brain and organs, this in turn makes the supplement more likely to be contaminated. I always use a Practitioner Range Fish Oil Supplement because they only use the flesh of the fish and the fish is farmed specifically for this purpose so no risk of high mercury levels. I suggest either MH Enhance or Orthoplex Fish Oils. These are only available via the clinic but they will be happy to send out to you. Give the girls a call at Quintessence on 09 817 1530 or www.qhealth.co.nz Hope this helps.
Cassie, Hi how are you ? I like your green coat in the photo ! Do you do any arty or crafty things ? I was just wondering, then you could join the creative mums group as well ! :)
Hi Cassie (again!) don't think i can do that i'm sorry :) It might come as a feature later, but not at this stage. You can control your emails via "my setting" to the right. But for now, it's checking the groups, and then using the drop down tab "latest activity" and seeing if someone has posted! Hope this helps! Marilynn
