My son is being bitten every night in his bedroom and this morning woke to 5 bites on his forehead. With the 3 already on his cheeks he looks a real sight! There is a small high window we keep open for airflow in his room and I'd like to keep it open... any one know anyway we can keep the mozzies out? Will just spraying around the window edge work?
Don't really want to put insect repellent on him as that stuff is hard core.

Thanks.

Hey I have been having the same problem with my 12 week old! I have bought one of those mozzie nets for over beds (they hang from the roof) I have put this around her whole cot! MAGIC!

Yeah I was also going to suggest going and buying some netting to go over the window, that should solve the problem :)

If you only cover the window you still have the problem of mozzies getting in elsewhere.

I find those plug in's work wonders but the net sounds just as good!!

Please be very careful with the mozzie net, we had a little one caught in one here in town & it strangled the poor wee thing & died. Very traumatic for the family. I would suggest a raid plug in or we have a robocan. That works for flies, mozzies, ants etc

Oh that's really sad. Yes I don't think a net over our sons bed is a great idea as he'd just rip it off the ceiling or something equally destructive - he tears his room apart every day when he's supposed to be asleep. We did have a raid plug in on yesterday but the smoke alarm in his room was set off at 12.30am last night and I suspect that was the culprit...? Have a robocan in the living area...
Will just have to do the netting over the window I think.
Thanks!

maybe try a robocan outside his bedroom door, provising of course his door is open. But then it sounds like you need his door closed! Good luck. My daughter stayed at mums the other night & has come home with mozzie bites all over her face. Poor thing

equal mixture of dettol, water and baby oil makes a great insect repellent with no harsh chemicals just apply to baby day and night!
